WorkSafe ACT Website Translated in Over 100 Languages

24 June 2025

WorkSafe ACT has enhanced its website to better support Canberra’s culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) workforce. A new language selection feature, located in the top right-hand corner of the website, allows users to automatically translate all website content into over 100 languages.

This update ensures that all current and future safety alerts, advice, and updates, including time-sensitive information can be immediately accessed in a language that workers understand.

This means that every PCBU across Canberra now has a powerful tool to better support CALD workers, helping to remove language barriers and improve access to critical safety information.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER

The translation feature on the WorkSafe ACT website is powered by Google Translate. While the accuracy is estimated between 95%–100%, translations may not always be entirely accurate due to language complexities.

WorkSafe ACT does not accept liability for any loss, damage, or missed opportunity resulting from the use of translated content. If you are unsure or do not fully understand the translated information, please:

  • Contact WorkSafe ACT directly for clarification
  • Seek further professional advice if needed

We encourage all workers, PCBUs, and HSRs to explore and share this feature widely to help ensure that every worker in the ACT can access the safety information they need in their first or preferred language as they need it.
