Licensing and registration
Register of dangerous goods vehicle licences
The Dangerous Goods (Road Transport) Regulation 2010 requires that a register of dangerous goods vehicle licences issued in the ACT be made available for inspection by the corresponding authorities in other jurisdictions and the general public.
Only conditions which appear on the licence document issued to a licensee are shown in the register. Licensees must also comply with any conditions or restrictions on the use of the vehicle which may apply under other laws.
A dangerous goods vehicle licence has no effect if the vehicle is not covered by a current and valid registration for use on public roads in Australia.
A separate authorisation may be required if the dangerous goods are security sensitive substances. Please contact WorkSafe ACT for further information.
