Safe Work Month 2023: Week 4 - All Workers, All Workplaces

Welcome to week four of Safe Work Month 2023!

All Workers, All Workplaces

This week we are focusing on All Workers, All Workplaces.

While risks may vary from workplace to workplace, the role of WorkSafe ACT does not change. We make sure that no matter what industry, occupation, location, or conditions Canberrans work in, their employer provides them with a safe and healthy workplace. All workers in all workplaces have a right to return home safely at the end of each day.

Safety Session

Please join us at our last Safety Session and BBQ on Friday 27 October.

These are a great opportunity to have a chat with the friendly WorkSafe Inspectors and get answers to any work health and safety questions you have.

Please come along, grab a poster and a sausage sandwich, and hear how to keep your workplace healthy and safe!

All proceeds from our sausage sizzle will be going towards the Canberra Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC). You can donate to the CRCC through their website or come along a buy a sausage and donate directly on the day!

When: Friday 27 October 2023

Time: 9am – 4:00pm

Where: Tuggeranong Bunnings (look for us cooking the snags!)

Recap from Week 3

In case you missed what we did in Week 3, don’t worry! We have a recap of resources and information below.

Week 3 was dedicated to the ACTPS & the new ACTPS Strategy. We:

  • issued a Safety Alert and new web content on Remote and Isolated Work
  • hosted our third safety session of the month in the city at the Nara Centre Courtyard. In attendance were WorkSafe ACT Inspectors, our Strategy team and Work Health and Safety Commissioner, Jacqueline Agius. We engaged with so many members of our wonderful Canberra community!
  • launched the brand new ACTPS Strategy, and
  • released our role overload video on our WorkSafe ACT YouTube channel.
