WorkSafe ACT Workplace Safety Survey

The 2024 ACT Workplace Safety Survey will open from 9:00AM 5 February 2024.

It's free, you don't have to give us your details, and it should only take about 10 minutes to complete.

To take part in the survey, click here.

Who can complete the survey?

Anyone who works in the ACT! This can mean fulltime, part-time, casual, labour hire, volunteers and employers - even if you work for yourself! If you are based in another state but still carry out work in the ACT, you can also complete this survey.

Why are we doing the survey?

The survey gives workers and employers in the ACT a chance to tell us about work health and safety at their workplaces. This will help us understand workers' and employers' awareness of health and safety hazards in the workplaces, the role of WorkSafe ACT and how our resources are used.

What kind of questions will the survey ask?

The survey asks simple questions about how much people know about WorkSafe ACT, our resources, and health and safety hazards at the workplace.

There are also some questions about you as a person, including age range, the industry you work in and the gender you identify as. We ask these questions so that we can make sure our resources are targeting the right people in the right industries – your answers will remain anonymous, and your personal information will not be shared.

How long is the survey open for?

The survey is open from 9:00AM 5 February 2024, until 11:59PM 1 March 2024 (AEDT).

Please note: The survey time may be extended. If the survey is extended, we will let you know through this webpage, over LinkedIn and our Safety Alert subscriber list.

Is the survey anonymous?

Yes, the results will be completely anonymous. You do not need to provide any identifying details about who you are, or where you work.

The data we get from the survey is secure and will only be accessible to those analysing the data at WorkSafe ACT. Any information made publicly available on the results of the survey will not have any identifying information – for example, we might mention results relevant to certain age-groups, but none of the information could be used to identify you, your workplace, or your answers.

Will I hear back from WorkSafe ACT about my survey?

No - WorkSafe ACT will not follow up with participants on any health and safety issues identified in this survey. This survey must not be used in place of reporting or notifying WorkSafe ACT of a health and safety issue at your workplace.

If you have a work health and safety concern, you can contact WorkSafe ACT, Report a Workplace Concern or Issue, or Notify WorkSafe ACT.

How long will the survey take?

The survey can be completed in under 10 minutes.
